Our main lodge is located on beautiful, crystal clear Echoing Lake on Paradise Island and is the most Northern tourist camp in Ontario. When you're this far north with your own float plane, and dozens of un-named lakes available, the possibilities are endless. We have Walleye, Northern Pike, Lake Trout, and Speckled Trout along with who knows what in our un-named lakes. All of Echoing Lake Camps fishing lakes are only accessible by Floatplane. All your meals, guides and day trips are included with your stay, the only thing we cant provide you with is alcohol. Sunset Country offers the best walleye fishing anywhere in North America. Lake trout inhabit the cold, dark depths of deep lakes in Sunset Country. Northern Pike are the most aggressive predatory fish that inhabit our waters. Averaging between 8 and 12 pounds, northern offer an exciting experience for any angler. The larger pike in Sunset Country can exceed 40 inches and weigh 30 pounds or more. Echo Lake is stocked every year with 20,000 Rainbow Trout and Gerrard Rainbow. Its shores are the natural spawning grounds for Kokanee and Lake Trout. There is good fishing to be had by trolling, spincasting and flyfishing. Our lake is fed by 55 different under-ground springs that keep our fish healthy and strong, with Rainbow up to 18 lbs. Don't have your own equipment? No worries, we rent everything you'll need from rod and tackle to your own boat, lifejackets and bait. Echo Lake Resort cabins comes with electricity, gas fireplaces or a wood-burning stove, cold running water, a fully-equipped kitchen, picnic table on the deck, a private outhouse and access to our central wash-house with hot showers and flush-toilets.
