We have licensed boat caches on nine backcountry portage lakes, which are stuffed with Walleye. Lake Trout are the dominant game-fish in Anishinabi Lake and our guests can experience extraordinary numbers and sizes. Main Fly In Camp - 58 air miles north of Partridge Lake near Jellicoe. Ara Lake is 18 miles long and 4 1/2 miles wide. A channel 1/2 mile wide and 3 miles long leads to Meta Lake which is 16 miles long and 4 miles wide. Peninsular Lake - Fly-In - 114 air miles. Walleye and Northern pike fishing is excellent both in quality and quantity. The Attwood River which flows in and out of Peninsular, yields some of the finest Speckled Trout. Studd Lake - Fly-In - 105 air miles. This lake is 4 1/2 miles long and 1 mile wide, accessible to another lake of similar size and chain of lakes. Walleye and Northern Pike fishing is hard to beat.

Over 100 lakes and streams are located within a five-mile radius of your cottage. Some waters can be reached from the side of the road. Other lakes and streams require extra effort to launch a canoe, but the results of fishing secluded water can be most rewarding. In addition the pike, walleye, bass, perch and speckled trout are also indigenous to many of these northern lakes and streams. Well-maintained boats and motors are available on a rental basis. Live bait, gas, oil, fishing and hunting licenses can all be purchased on location. All cottages at Argyle Lake Lodge come fully equipped for housekeeping with modern appliances and electric lights. Cooking utensils, dishes, blankets and pillows are supplied. Wood stoves provide a cozy atmosphere.
